A new Cretan airline is about to spread its wings…
As from June 2012 the new airline that is called “Minoan Air” will be flying in the European sky.
With well experienced staff with a fleet of 4 aircraft’s Fokker F27 Mk050, 50 seater capacity, the new airline announced its new schedule for summer 2012. According to the airline’s press release the aircraft’s can also organize charter flights.
The flight schedule will be serving the following routes as from June 2012:

Following the announcement by the Hellenic Air Traffic Personnel that the previously scheduled strike will last 12 hours starting on Wednesday at 00:01hrs instead of 48 hours as it was initially decided, AEGEAN reinstates back to schedule the following flights on Thursday 20 October 2011.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Olympic Air announced today that they have signed a code share agreement effective September 1st, 2011. This agreement entitles the airlines to market flights between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos for connecting traffic under each others flight numbers.
Both airlines already operate flights on this route. The new code share agreement enables Olympic Air to increase the number of daily flight offerings to its customers from nine to sixteen per week and KLM will also raise the offering to its customers from two to three daily flights.
On September 12th, this code share agreement has been further enhanced, offering 8 destinations to KLM passengers in the Greek domestic market & 8 European destinations to Olympic Air passengers. KLM passengers will be able book a KLM flight between Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” and Alexandroupoli, Santorini, Chania, Heraklion, Ioannina, Kos, Rhodes, Thessaloniki, for connecting services operated by Olympic Air. Olympic Air passengers will be able to connect at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for flights to Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Goteborg, Hamburg, Manchester, Oslo & Stockholm under an Olympic Air flight number. Hellenic Imperial Airways in consideration of the reduced demand for this period would like to inform the travelling passengers that will reduce its capacity on the Athens/New York & New York/Athens route. This means that they will be operating with a B-747 on Fridays only, until the new aircrafts enter into service (early October 2011).
Please be advised that the flight of Monday 12th of September will be the last Monday flight for the time being. If you have booked on a Monday flight after the 12th of September, you can choose to be moved to any of our Friday flights duw to these changes. As it was mentioned above, until the airline will resume to their normal flight schedule to/from United States of America, shortly.

Star Alliance members, TAP Portugal and AEGEAN have decided to expand their commercial partnership, by adding new direct code-share services between Lisbon and Athens, as well as to new destinations in Greece, starting June 4th, when TAP launches direct operations between the two capital cities.
These flights have already been made available for bookings through both carriers own websites, as well as via the worldwide reservations systems.
In addition to the current code-share services already offered between Portugal and Greece, via selected cities in Europe, AEGEAN will now be marketing its own flights on the new direct flights that TAP will be operating between Lisbon and Athens. (more…)
Aegean Airlines, during the Easter week, will have a nice festive atmosphere on their flights.
During Easter week (from Good Monday through Good Friday) on all Aegean flights (domestic, international or charter) the will be special Lenten menus for all classes (economy or business). Also in all flights there will be Classical music in accordance with the atmosphere of the Easter week.
For 12th season, Aegean, on all Corfu flights starting from Good Tuesday through Good Saturday will be giving little traditional clay jugs to its customers as the old customs of Corfu “Botidon” require, to be broken on Good Saturday morning on the main town square!
Especially for the young passengers, up to 12 years old, Aegean will offer from Good Wednesday through Easter Sunday, little lovely chocolate bunnies. (more…)
It is with great pleasure that Hermes Airports and AEGEAN AIR announce the launch of new flights from Larnaka to London and Paris. AEGEAN has upgraded its presence in Cyprus to coincide with the start of the summer program, turning Larnaka International Airport into a base for three of its Airbus A320s.
Since 27 March 2011, AEGEAN AIR has been connecting Larnaka to London Heathrow Airport (Terminal 4) with one daily flight. The aircraft departs from Larnaka International Airport at 8:15 am and returns from London Heathrow Airport (Terminal 4) at 12:15 (local time).
Additionally, from 09 June 2011, AEGEAN AIR will launch direct flights from Larnaka to Paris, one of the largest cultural and business centers of Europe. Flights to Paris will run 3 times a week, every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. The aircraft will depart from Larnaka at 15:45 and return from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris (Terminal 1) at 20:15. The flights will be operated with a brand new AIRBUS A320 with 168 seats, a cabin designed to cater for Economy and Business Class passengers, with an in-flight entertainment system including movies and a choice of music through 6 channels.
